Over a year after a 25-year-old woman was found murdered in Ratakheda village of the district, the state police is yet to make a breakthrough in the case with her family members alleging the role of her in-laws in the killing.
Tarachand, the father of deceased Santosh, alleged that the police have even tortured his family members several times in the name of probe.
According to the family, Santosh went missing on January 11 last year, and after ten days her body was recovered near a canal here.

After two months of registering the case, it was transfered to Criminal Investigating Agency (CIA), a unit of state police for special cases.
Tarachand alleged that the in-laws of her daughter are responsible for her murder but the police was reluctant in taking action against them.
However, CIA in-charge Ashok Kumar said, "We are probing all the possible angles in the case and the accused will soon be arrested."
Tarachand said that the police have not even probed the mobile numbers they were provided with.
