Woman raped by brother-in-law

A 29-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her brother-in-law in Saraswati Colony area of the city.

A case was registered in this regard on May 25 following a court's order.

The woman, at a press conference here yesterday, alleged that police were not acting on the case.

The woman has accused her husband Sapan Gupta, brother-in-law Nishant Gupta, father-in-law Prakesh Chand Gupta and mother-in-law Usha Gupta of hatching a conspiracy against her. She also accused them of harassing her.

When contacted, Borekheda police station SHO Lokendra Paliwal said a case has been registered on the order of court and further investigation into the case is on.
