Woman trampled to death by wild elephants

A herd of wild elephants killed a woman and destroyed several dwelling units in the Sonitpur district, forest department officials said.

According to Forest Department officials, a herd of five elephants last night entered the Naya Ghogra tea estate from the northern side and broke several houses and trampled to death a woman, identified as Etuwara Tapno (60), when she was sleeping.
