A 25-year-old housewife, who had allegedly set herself ablaze at her residence here, nine days ago, has succumbed to burn injuries, police said today.
The victim Jyoti, wife of one Rahul, resident of Neelam Vihar colony in Indirapuram had set herself on fire over some family clash on April 14 and sustained severe burns, SHO Gorakh Nath Yadav said.
She was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her burns yesterday.
Police said, it was further investigating the matter, which appears to be case of suicide, adding, the victim's body has been sent for postmortem.
