A 24-year-old youth was allegedly beaten to death by his two friends in Vijay Nagar area here after a brawl broke out between them over some issue.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep, a driver by profession, police said today, adding that the incident took place last night.
Sandeep, who was consuming alcohol with friends Vipin and Aman, was hit with bricks and iron rods by them after an argument broke out, they said.

The matter was reported to police by some locals who spotted Sandeep lying in a pool of blood this morning.
He was taken to the district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.
Sandeep's brother Vicky Gautam has lodged a complaint against the two accused and hunt is on to nab them, police added.
