Youth commits suicide, man dies in mishap in UP

A youth allegedly committed suicide by jumping off a bridge, where minutes later a man, who had joined a crowd that gathered after the incident, was fatally run over by a truck here today, police said.

Hiralal Kushwaha (25) allegedly jumped off a bridge in Badausa area here and committed suicide, police said.

After the incident, a number of locals gathered to see the dead body on the bridge when a truck hit 45-year-old Santu, leaving him dead, they said.

The truck driver fled the spot along with the vehicle and a probe is underway, they added.

Both the bodies have been sent for postmortem, police said.
