Youth dies due to asphyxiation in Udhampur

A youth died due to asphyxiation in the kitchen of a restaurant in this district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The 18-year-old, identified as Jia Lal, who was working in the kitchen of a restaurant, died due to asphyxiation in Udhampur town today, a police officer said.

Initial investigations revealed that Lal died due to lack of oxygen when a steamer was left open in the kitchen where he was working during the night, he said.

Police have registered a case and further investigation started, he said.
