Youth feared drowned during Durga idol immersion

A 30-year-old youth was feared drowned during Durga idol immersion at Chintappalli beach in the district today.

Reddy Venkatesh, native of Chinnapisini village in Ranasthalam mandal of Srikakulam district, was swept away by a big wave, according to the onlookers.

Poosapatirega sub-inspector S Srinivas said search operation had been started to trace him.
