A youth wanted in connection with the death of a policeman during stone-pelting incident two years ago was arrested today in Baramulla district, police said.
Parvaiz Ahmad Gojri, a resident of Palhallan village, was arrested for being an accused in a murder case registered in police station Pattan, a police spokesman said.
He said the incident had taken place on October 16, 2013 and Gojri was absconding since then.

Soon after his arrest, a group of youth took to streets and indulged in stone pelting on Srinagar-Baramulla highway but they were chased away by police, the spokesman said.
On October 16, 2013, a police vehicle collided with an electric pole after it came under stone-pelting attack by a mob after Eid prayers at Palhallan, resulting in injuries to its driver head constable Kanwal Nain Singh. He was rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.
Several youth including a 14-year-old boy were already arrested by police in connection with the incident.
