Youth jumps into canal

A 20-year-old youth jumped into Ganga canal as he was upset over his illness at Khatoli town here, police said today.

Anuj Kumar last evening jumped into the canal and was swept away by current, Station House Officer Pankaj Tyagi said.

The youth was upset over his illness and it might have driven him to jump into the canal, he said.

A search operation is on, the SHO said.
