Youth kills girl before committing suicide in Raj

Kumpa Ram(21) was married to Rekha(18) but due to some dispute regarding a local custom led to the separation between them, SHO, Rohat, Sitaram said.

The incident took place on Sunday evening in Sonailakha village when Ram, who was angry with the separation, strangulated Rekha in the backyard of her house and committed suicide by jumping into a water tank, he said

Further probes into the case are on, the SHO added.

In another incident, two girls, including a minor, were found dead today in a drain in Bikaner district, police said.

Prima facie, it appeared that the victims, identified as Muskan (4) and Madeena (20) accidentally fell into the drain in Gangshahar area, leading to their death.

 

Further investigations are on, they added.
