A 20-year-old youth was killed by a speeding truck, followed by stone pelting by irate locals at Budhana town in the district here, police said today.
Salman, a riot victim, was on his cycle when he was run over by a truck last evening, police said, adding that angry locals blocked the road and started pelting stones in protest of the accident.
Police officials rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
The matter is under investigation, they said.
