At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March declined by 15 paise, or 0.11%, to Rs 132.40 per kg in a business turnover of 18 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in the February softened by 10 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 131.75 per kg in 498 lots.
Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly due to a weak trend in copper and other base metals in global markets after China reported consumer prices rose at the slowest pace in more than five years.
