Zinc futures edged up 0.18% to Rs 137.30 per kg today as speculators enlarged positions amid positive cues from global markets and rising domestic demand.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in June contract was up 25 paise, or 0.18%, to Rs 137.30 per kg with a business turnover of 175 lots.
Besides hardening base metals overseas on speculations of a stronger industrial output data from China, the biggest metals consumer, supported the upside in zinc prices, market analysts said.
