BSE Sensex falls ahead of key earnings

Reuters Market Eye - The BSE Sensex falls ahead of the start of the July-September blue-chip earnings season, with Infosys Ltd, declaring its results on Friday, followed by Reliance Industries Ltd on Monday.

The BSE Sensex is down 0.39 percent, while the broader Nifty loses 0.29 percent.

Infosys is up 0.31 percent, while Reliance is down nearly 1 percent.

Traders also remain largely cautious given the political standoff in the United States over its budget and debt ceiling.
