Cabinet approves hike in additional tax on luxury cars, SUVs: source

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - The Indian cabinet on Wednesday approved raising a levy on luxury cars and sports utility vehicles to 25 percent from 15 percent, a government official with knowledge of the decision said.

The new levy is in addition to taxes on the sale of luxury vehicles.
