The body of a man found off a cliff in the south-east of England is believed to be that of the missing son of a Telangana BJP leader who was studying in London, according to police.
Ujwal Sriharsha Sanne, the son of Khammam district BJP president Sanne Uday Pratap, had been missing for a few days and a large-scale search was launched for the 24-year-old assisted by a police helicopter.
A body was recovered on Sunday at Beachy Head, a chalk headland cliffs in East Sussex country of England, a landmark which is infamous as a suicide spot in the UK.
"The body of a man was discovered at Beachy Head at 10pm on Sunday, which is believed to be that of missing 24-year-old Ujwal Sanne from London," a Sussex Police spokesperson said on Tuesday.
"The matter has been passed to the Coroner's Officer and next of kin have been informed," the spokesperson said.

A repository of precious metals may be locked deep below the Moon's surface, according to a study that drew parallels between mineral deposits found on Earth and the lunar body.
"We have been able to link the sulphur content of lunar volcanic rocks to the presence of iron sulphide deep inside the Moon," said James Brenan, a professor at Dalhousie University in Canada.
"Examination of mineral deposits on Earth suggests that iron sulphide is a great place to store precious metals, like platinum and palladium," Brenan said.
Geologists have long speculated that the Moon was formed by the impact of a massive planet-sized object from the Earth 4.5 billion years ago.

Veteran Hollywood star Al Pacino has revealed that he decided to say no to the lead role of Captain Benjamin Willard in "Apocalypse Now" because he was not in a "right space".
Director Francis Ford Coppola had approached Pacino to star in the movie but he turned it down because he did not want to go on a location shoot to Philippines.
''I just wasn't ready to do it. I was at a certain point in my life and not in the right space for going away and doing a movie like that," Pacino told Empire magazine.

Myanmar's civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi has washed her hands of the Rohingya crisis, a UN rights investigator said Tuesday ahead of a meeting between South Korea's President Moon Jae-in and the tarnished democracy icon.

India has handed over to Nepal a new school building costing Rs 2.2 crore in Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's home district Jhapa, a media report said on Tuesday.
The new building of Shree Schoolchaun Higher Secondary School was jointly inaugurated by Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri, and Attorney General, Agni Prasad Kharel, on Monday, the Himalayan Times reported.
Established in 1965, the school offers plus two programmes, the report said, quoting a statement from the Indian embassy.
The school has about 1,150 students of which 60 per cent are girls. The school is an educational institution of repute in Nepal's Jhapa District, which is also the home district of Prime Minister Oli.
The new building is a two-storey infrastructure comprising 25 class rooms, a multipurpose hall and furniture, the report said.
