The state Uttrakhand has a great potential of energy from roof top solar PV as the state has large industrial houses having large roofs. The state is also blessed with descent solar isolation and due to optimum temperature the generation is also good. The state roof top policy allows selling the excess power generation to the state utility at a price of Rs.9.20 per Kwh which makes the investment more attractive from the investor’s perspective.”
