Biopac India starts production line for food containers in Silvassa

Biopac India, a manufacture of disposable dinnerware, has set up a new production line for manufacturing food storage containers at its facility in Silvassa. The company has begun commercial production of products at new line from May 1, 2015.
 
“These food storage containers are manufactured in India for the first time, through unique process of thermoforming, which gives the company the ability to do mass production at extremely low cost,” said Biopac in its BSE filing on June 2, 2015.
 
These containers - which are microwavable, deep-freezable and dishwasher safe - are air tight, snap-fit lid, spill-proof and reusable. Biopac food storage containers will be available in capacity ranging from 236 ml to 2 litres.
