India vs Bangladesh Highlights, 2nd Test Day 4: Bangla Tigers trail by 26 runs

India would be eyeing to take quick wickets on the fifth and final day in order to take a game out of a test match, in which two days were washed out due to rain.

After two blank days, India and Bangladesh had an action-packed Day 4 of the second Test at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. At the end of the day's play, Bangladesh were playing at 26 with the loss of 2 wickets, with India still leading by 26 runs.

The day started with Bangladesh staring at 107 for 3, their Day 1 score. However, Bumrah struck early to remove Mushfiqur Rahim (11). Siraj and Ashwin then removed Litton (13) and Shakib (9) to reduce Bangladesh to 170 for 6.

Mominul Haque and Mehidy Hasan (20) then added 54 for the seventh wicket before the latter was dismissed by Bumrah. India then took the remaining three wickets for just 9 runs, ending Bangladesh's innings on 233.

Mominul Haque was the lone warrior with an unbeaten 107.

In reply, India were off to a flyer with Rohit Sharma (23) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (72) adding 55 runs for the first wicket before Rohit was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan.

Jaiswal then added 72 runs for the second wicket with Shubman Gill (39) before getting out to Hasan Mahmud.

Bangladesh made a comeback with Shakib removing both Gill and Rishabh Pant (9) in quick succession.

Virat Kohli (47) added 87 runs for the fifth wicket with KL Rahul (68) before getting dismissed. India then lost their next four wickets in quick succession as Rohit decided to declare the innings on 285 for 9, with a lead of 52 runs.

Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four wickets each for Bangladesh, while Hasan Mahmud claimed one wicket.

India, in their innings, broke the record for the fastest team 50, 100, and 200 runs in a Test innings.

In the second innings, Bangladesh have already lost two wickets, courtesy of Ashwin, and will now start the final day with an overnight score of 26 for 2, with Shadman Islam (7) and Mominul Haque (0) still at the crease.
