First look of Kangana Ranaut's film 'Tejas' is out, netizens divided

Tejas will hit the silver screen on October 27 under the direction of Sarvesh Mewara. The movie also features Varun Mitra, Anuj Khurana, and Anshul Chauhan in lead roles

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut shared the teaser of her upcoming movie, 'Tejas', on 2nd October. Ranaut will be seen playing the role of an Air Force pilot in the movie. The movie is backed by RSVP films.

The actor looks stunning in the flying suit as she gets ready to take off from the Air Force station in the short teaser clip.

Kangana Ranaut's ‘Tejas’: Teaser Talk

The teaser begins with Kangana Ranaut's strong voiceover that says, "Zaroori nahi hai har baar baat chit honi chahiye. Jung ke maidaan mein ab jung honi chahiye. Ke ho gaya hai mere watan pe bahut hi sitam. Ab toh akash se barish nahin aag barasani chahiye. Bharat ko chedoge toh chodenge nahi." The teaser will definitely inspire an emotional response from every Indian.

Tejas follows the story in 2016 of a daring woman fighter pilot. Talking about her part in the film, Ranaut had said the sacrifices made by our fearless women in uniform often go unnoticed by the audience and Tejas is a film that respects the role of such an Air Force pilot putting the country before her life.

About Tejas: Movie talk

The film was initially scheduled to be released in December 2020. Kangana had declared the film's release date in August 2020. Kangana stated at that time, "Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes… Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie (Ronnie Screwvala, producer)."

But, the movie has since been delayed a few times. The movie was set to release on October 20 with Ganapath. Under the direction of Vikas Bahl, the 'Ganpath' features Vikas Bahl, stars Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in the main role. Tejas will finally be released on October 27.

Soon after the teaser was released, X users rushed to share their thoughts. Tejas' teaser left netizens divided as certain users were in wonder of Kangana Ranaut's acting skills and her look as Air Force fighter pilot Tejas Gill while others viewed the teaser as normal and dull.

A film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala stated, “Wow man her voice modulation… in every other film her voice sounds different… she is amazing amazing amazing… a true talent,” a user wrote. “Tejas teaser packs a solid punch! Kangana Ranaut in uniform looks splendid.”
