Mangalore-based public sector lender Corporation Bank on Friday reported a 25 per cent drop in net profit at Rs 303 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012, compared with Rs 402 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.

Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) net profit dropped 9.51 per cent during the third quarter-ended December 31, 2012 at Rs 113.04 crore against Rs 124.92 crore for the corresponding quarter in the previous financial year. Total income rose 24.51 per cent to Rs 1,177.59 crore from Rs 945.77 crore, a year ago.

State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) on Friday reported a 31.21 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 215.11 crore in the December quarter amid increase in core income and lower provisioning. Net profit was Rs 163.94 crore in the same period last financial year.

Infrastructure finance company IDFC Ltd has posted a 19.16 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 454 crore in the third quarter ended December 2012. Its consolidated net in Q3 of 2011-12 was Rs 381 crore.
