National Peroxide pays Rs 9.4 lakh to settle disclosure lapses case with Sebi

Wadia group firm National Peroxide on Tuesday settled with capital markets regulator Sebi a case pertaining to the alleged violation of disclosure lapses after paying Rs 9.4 lakh in settlement amount. The order came after National Peroxide Ltd filed an application in November last year with Sebi proposing to settle the instant proceedings initiated against it, without "admitting or denying the findings of facts and conclusions of law".

Rupee fell 50% under Modi govt compared to 33% during UPA regime: CPI-M MP

The Indian rupee has depreciated 50 per cent against the US dollar during the Modi government's tenure compared to 33 per cent decline during the previous UPA regime, CPI-M MP John Brittas said on Tuesday during the debate on Budget 2025 in Parliament. Participating in the discussion the Upper House, Brittas noted that the rupee has fallen from Rs 60 to Rs 90 against the US dollar in the last 11 years of the Modi government, while during 10 years of the Manmohan Singh government, it depreciated from Rs 45 to Rs 60.

Russia has offered to make its fifth-generation stealth fighter jet Sukhoi Su-57 in India for the Indian Air Force, a Russian and an Indian official said on Tuesday, as Moscow looks to boost defence ties with New Delhi. JEE-Main results: 14 candidates score perfect 100 in first edition of exam, maximum from Rajasthan

Fourteen candidates from across the country have bagged perfect score in the first edition of engineering entrance exam JEE-Main 2025 with maximum of them being from Rajasthan, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Tuesday. Twelve out of the 14 top scorers are from general category and one each from OBC and SC categories. More than 12.58 lakh candidates had appeared for the first edition of the crucial exam.

Disbursed Rs 2,026 cr to depositors of Sahara Group of Coop Societies so far: Shah tells LS

Amit Shah on Tuesday informed Parliament that Rs 2,025.75 crore has been disbursed to 11.61 lakh depositors of Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies as of January 28 this year. Shah said this disbursement is facilitated through the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal, which was established following a Supreme Court order on March 29, 2023, aimed at assisting legitimate depositors in reclaiming their funds.
