Vedanta Ltd on Tuesday said its Committee of Directors has approved raising up to Rs 3,000 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The committee approved issuance of 3 lakh unsecured, rated, listed, redeemable NCDs of face value of Rs 1 lakh each on a private placement basis, as per a regulatory filing by Vedanta.

Cancelling exemptions and duty-free quotas for major suppliers, President Donald Trump moved to substantially raise tariffs on steel and aluminium imports Monday. Trump  inked documents that raised the tariff rate on aluminium imports to 25 per cent from the previous 10 per cent that he imposed in 2018.  Described as a "UK-wide blitz," the United Kingdon's Labour government has launched a mass raids on illegal immigrants working in the country.  the crackdown has extended to Indian restaurants, nail bars, convenience stores and car washes which employ migrant workers. The Starmer government is resorting to Trump-style TV footage of these deportation flight processes, showing men to be deported being taken off a bus and up the stairway of a charter jet.  The tariffs will apply to millions of tons of steel and aluminum imports from Canada, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea and other countries that had been entering the U.S. duty free under the carve-outs.

National Peroxide pays Rs 9.4 lakh to settle disclosure lapses case with Sebi

The order came after National Peroxide Ltd filed an application in November last year with Sebi proposing to settle the instant proceedings initiated against it, without "admitting or denying the findings of facts and conclusions of law".

Rupee fell 50% under Modi govt compared to 33% during UPA regime: CPI-M MP

The Indian rupee has depreciated 50 per cent against the US dollar during the Modi government's tenure compared to 33 per cent decline during the previous UPA regime, CPI-M MP John Brittas said on Tuesday during the debate on Budget 2025 in Parliament. Participating in the discussion the Upper House, Brittas noted that the rupee has fallen from Rs 60 to Rs 90 against the US dollar in the last 11 years of the Modi government, while during 10 years of the Manmohan Singh government, it depreciated from Rs 45 to Rs 60.

JEE-Main results: 14 candidates score perfect 100 in first edition of exam, maximum from Rajasthan

Fourteen candidates from across the country have bagged perfect score in the first edition of engineering entrance exam JEE-Main 2025 with maximum of them being from Rajasthan, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Tuesday. Disbursed Rs 2,026 cr to depositors of Sahara Group of Coop Societies so far: Shah tells LS
