A man and a woman have been arrested in two separate incidents of trespassing at actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai Police said on Thursday, as quoted by news agency PTI.

Police confirmed that two separate FIRs have been registered in connection with the breaches.

The suspects

A 23-year-old man named Jitendra Kumar Singh, hailing from Chhattisgarh, allegedly broke into Galaxy Apartments on Tuesday. Singh reportedly smashed his phone in frustration after being asked to leave by a security guard.

“That evening, Singh entered Galaxy Apartments in a car belonging to a resident of the same building. However, he was stopped again by police and handed over to Bandra Police,” an official said.

During interrogation, Singh claimed he had entered the premises because he wanted to meet Salman Khan. Police are still investigating how he gained access to a resident’s vehicle.
On Wednesday, in a separate incident, a 36-year-old woman named Isha Chabria allegedly broke into the building and reached actor Salman Khan’s flat, even knocking on his door, according to police. She claimed Khan had invited her, but during verification, his staff confirmed that no such invitation had been extended.
Both individuals were detained and have been booked under charges of trespassing.

Background: Threats and heightened security

The trespassing incidents comes a year after a shooting outside Khan’s Bandra residence in April 2024. The actor has faced repeated threats since the 1998 blackbuck poaching case during the filming of Hum Saath-Saath Hain, in which Khan and co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Neelam were accused of hunting a blackbuck—an animal sacred to the Bishnoi community.

Since then, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his network have frequently threatened Khan. In April 2023, two armed assailants on a motorcycle fired outside his apartment. The shooters were later arrested, and police revealed that the plan was orchestrated by Bishnoi’s younger brother, Anmol Bishnoi.

In a further escalation, former Maharashtra Cabinet minister Baba Siddique, known to be close to Salman Khan, was assassinated in October 2024. The Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, citing Siddique’s ties to the actor.

Security status

Salman Khan currently lives under Y-plus category security, with heightened protection following multiple threats and recent attacks.
