India's first-ever book village Bhilar attracts booklovers

Satara (Maharashtra), July 06 (ANI): Bhilar, a village of books, has a library set up in almost all the houses of the village in Maharashtra's Satara. It is an initiative by Maharashtra government. The project was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis on May 04 that aimed to foster and encourage a culture of reading. Visitors come here and enjoy the reading session. While speaking to ANI, one of the visitors said, "It's an amazing project by Maharashtra Govt. Whenever I get time, I come here and go across books kept at 30 places across the village. I feel good when I read."
