Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Jan 13 (ANI): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informed that Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved proposal to setup police commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida. Speaking on it, Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police, OP Singh said, "It was a very historic moment when state government took decision of setting UP police commissioner system in Lucknow and Noida. UP cabinet has approved it today. I am so happy that this long-awaited demand of police officials and other professional bodies has now fulfilled. It was very important to set up such system here. I believe after introduction of police commissioner system, the law and order system and crime control in the state will be improved. It would be expected from this system to improve public grievances and law system." He further said, "We would appoint a women police officer to improve women security like Delhi Police. I feel it was important to setup police commissioner system in these two places."
