Students protest against age restriction on contesting elections

Birgunj, Nepal, Jan 06 (ANI): Students burnt tyres and raised anti-government slogans outside Thakur Ram College in Birgunj to demand scrapping of age limit on contesting university elections. The Nepal government has recently fixed a maximum age limit of 28 years for students to content university elections in the country. The election is scheduled to be held on January 29. The protest was organized by Independent Students Union, a student wing of Nepali Congress.
