The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 will continued with Day 3 action at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag with two more exciting matches on the card. In the first matcch of the night U Mumba with a brillaint late fightback beat Tamil Thaliavas by 3 points to stay undefeated in PKL 2025. In the second match Bengal Warriorz secured an easy win over defending champions Haryana Steelers.
Match 1: Tamil Thalaivas vs U Mumba
U Mumba scripted one of the most remarkable comebacks of Pro Kabaddi League Season 12, defeating Tamil Thalaivas 36-33 in a thrilling encounter at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Vizag on Sunday.
The contest began evenly, with Ajit Chouhan giving U Mumba an early lead through smart raids. However, Arjun Deshwal soon took control for the Thalaivas, scoring consistently and completing a Super 10. His Do-or-Die raid in the 16th minute shifted momentum firmly towards the Thalaivas. By half-time, despite some resistance from Anil Mohan and a Super Tackle by Rinku, the Thalaivas held a 14-11 advantage.
The second half initially looked one-sided. U Mumba suffered an all-out, as Deshwal continued his fine form and Nitesh Kumar added crucial defensive points. Pawan also contributed, helping the Thalaivas stretch their lead to nine points, and at that stage, U Mumba seemed down and out.
Yet, the game completely flipped in the final phase. Ajit Chouhan and Anil Mohan led a spirited fightback, clawing the deficit back to just two points. Their sharp raids, combined with resilient defending, prevented another all-out and built momentum for U Mumba. With just minutes left, they delivered a stunning all-out on the Thalaivas, seizing control of the contest.
An unforced error from Pawan in the dying moments sealed Tamil Thalaivas’ fate, allowing Sunil Kumar’s U Mumba to register their first win of the season. The victory, carved out from a near-hopeless position, showcased U Mumba’s grit and set the tone for their campaign.
Match 2: Bengal Warriorz vs Haryana Steelers
In the second match of the day, Bengal Warriorz wreaked havoc as they beat defending champions Haryana Steelers in a one-sided affair by 50-31. Haryana started the match well and were on level terms till the 10th minute, but Bengal made a strong comeback to end the half with a 23-19 lead.
Haryana once again made a comeback to level things at 27-27 in the early minutes of the second half, but Bengal then enforced back-to-back all-outs on the defending champions to win the match by a huge margin of 16 points.
This was also a historic match as it featured only one do-or-die raid. Last season’s top raider, Bengal Warriorz skipper Devank Dalal, was once again the top scorer in the match with 21 points to his name.
