Match 1: UP Yoddhas vs Bengal Warriorz
The Bengal Warriorz produced a remarkable comeback to defeat the UP Yoddhas 41-37 in a thrilling Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 contest at the SMS Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on Tuesday. The victory was crucial for the Season 7 champions, who snapped a four-match losing streak thanks to skipper Devank Dalal’s sixth consecutive Super 10 and a brilliant defensive show from Ashish, who completed a High Five.
The Yoddhas started strongly, with Guman Singh striking early and their defence, led by Ashu Singh and Hitesh, combining to inflict an early all-out. That gave them a 10-4 lead, which they stretched to 12-5 by the first time-out. The Warriorz tried to fight back through Devank, but the Yoddhas stayed composed and carried an 18-13 advantage into halftime.
The second half initially followed the same pattern, with the Yoddhas keeping their lead intact. However, the Warriorz gradually tightened their defence and found momentum. A brilliant raid from Devank triggered an all-out on the Yoddhas, turning the score in Bengal’s favour at 26-25. The contest stayed tense, with Gagan Gowda’s raid leveling matters soon after.
As the game moved into the final minutes, Ashish completed his High Five while Devank maintained his raid dominance. With the score delicately poised at 34-33, the Warriorz struck a decisive blow by enforcing another all-out, stretching their advantage to 38-34. In the closing moments, they held their nerve and wrapped up a hard-fought four-point win to revive their campaign.
Match 2: Tamil Thalaivas vs Bengaluru Bulls
The second match of the evening will feature one of the standout rivalries of PKL 12 as Tamil Thalaivas face Bengaluru Bulls in a high-stakes encounter. Both teams enjoy passionate fan bases, and this contest carries additional drama because of the bold off-season decisions made by the franchises.
