IT major Infosys has collaborated with Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar to create a base for the latter's development of in-car infotainment, software and electrical/electronics engineering, user experience, and cloud-powered digital services. As part of this partnership, Infosys will establish a global technology hub for Polestar at its development centre in Bengaluru, a regulatory filing said. "This hub aims to deliver electric vehicle (EV) software development and validation across many domains, including infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and telematics," it said. According to sources, the company has acquired 5 lakh square feet office space in Whitefield, Bengaluru, for about Rs 500 crore. Real estate consultant CBRE facilitated this deal, they added. Table Space President Kunal Mehra confirmed the transaction. CBRE declined to comment. "Table Space has acquired Kalyani Camellia, Whitefield (Mahadevapura), Bengaluru, covering around 5,00,000 sq ft," Mehra said. "This is the second Table Space-owned asset in the brand's portfolio," he told PTI. Mehra did not share the deal value. The Bengaluru police has filed a chargesheet in the second case registered against former MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing charges of rape and sexual assault, in a special court here. Revanna is currently under judicial custody at Parappana Agrahara Jail here, and a Special Investigation Team is probing four separate cases against him, officials said on Friday. According to police, the second case against Prajwal Revanna was filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on May 1 after a 44-year-old former member of the Hassan Zilla Panchayat accused him of repeatedly raping her. The CBIC on Friday said it has suspended some CGST officials in Bengaluru who have been arrested by the city police for alleged extortion charges. On September 11, Bengaluru City Crime Branch arrested four Central GST officials based on a complaint of kidnapping and extortion filed by a businessman at Byappanahalli police station of Bengaluru East division. The arrested include a superintendent rank officer apart from inspector and senior intelligence officer rank staffers of the GST. In a post on X, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) said as per media reports, it has been reported that some CGST officials in Bengaluru have resorted to alleged extortion in violation of the laws of the land. "The officers involved have been immediately suspended," it said. It further said that the CBIC is in touch with police authorities who got the remand of these officers arrested by them. "Based on the outcome of the investigation in the matter, further action will be taken.

According to the police, the chargesheet was filed against Revanna on June 12 at the cyber crime police station of CID in Bengaluru. Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Monday announced the launch of the revolutionary online building plan approval process for construction of buildings in sites up to 4000 square feet in city civic body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits. Addressing a press conference at Vidhana Soudha, he said, The Nambike Nakshe' scheme allows owners to get provisional building plan with an approval by an authorised architect or engineer and then upload the same online for a final approval by the BBMP. This will be applicable for constructions on all sites up to 50x80 feet area. Most of the sites developed by BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) or Karnataka Housing Board are of a maximum dimension of 50x80 feet.
