ConocoPhillips, Venezuela's PDVSA reach $2 bln settlement

The United States today launched into a key week for trade policy, with Washington due to slap fresh tariffs on Chinese goods and hold hearings to impose even more duties. US and Chinese officials will simultaneously hold talks in an effort to defuse the dispute. In addition, US negotiators will continue talks with Mexico aimed at rewriting the nearly 25-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement, which officials are hopeful they can conclude by year end.
