The audience made a hasty exit after the smoke filled the auditorium at around 10:15 pm, shortly before the show was to end, they said. A 22-year-old man died and four others were injured today after an old house collapsed in the Old Nashik area, police said. The incident occurred around 1 PM in Tambat Lane area, a police official said. He said the three-storey house became unsteady in the morning, and portions of it started falling down. While the families residing in the structure came out after realising that the structure was crumbling, some of them rushed inside to collect essential materials, when the house collapsed, he said. Two more persons have died due to floods in Assam that have affected nearly 1.05 lakh people in five districts of the state, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said. According to the ASDMA, the two flood-related deaths occurred at Gogamukh revenue circle in Dhemaji district and Merapani sub-division in Golaghat district. With this, the total number of flood-related deaths across the state has risen to 45 this year. The ASDMA said over 1.04 lakh people are affected at present in Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Darrang, Golaghat and Sivasagar districts. The number stood at 1.09 lakh in six districts till yesterday. Golaghat is the worst affected with over 93,000 people marooned. Around 6,000 people have been impacted in Lakhimpur. Currently, 145 villages are under water and 8,869 hectares of crop area has been damaged, it said. Around 200 Indians on their way back home after the Kailash-Mansarovar pilgrimage in Tibet are stranded in Nepal's Humla district due to bad weather, Indian Embassy said here today. There were around 150 people stranded in Simikot and 50 in Hilsa, near Nepal-Tibet border. Due to bad weather, it was impossible to immediately airlift the pilgrims from Hilsa and Simikot to Nepalgunj, a border city which is about four-hour drive from Lucknow, it said. "Indian Embassy is aware that about 200 pilgrims are stuck in Simikot due to bad weather & was in continuous touch with them and their family members," a statement from the Indian Embassy here said. Ten persons were killed today in two separate accidents in Gujarat's Kutch district, over 800 kilometres from here, police said. In the first incident, four members of a family from Bhachau were killed when the van in which they were travelling hit a police bus near Adesar police check post in Kutch's Rapar taluka, an official said. Thirty-five others were injured in the incident which took place in the early hours today and the condition of 17 of them was serious, the official from Adesar police station added.
