A major train accident was averted when coaches of Ahmedabad-Puri express rolling down towards Kesinga side in Odisha's Titlagarh was stopped by putting wooden blocks on the track late on Saturday.The train had rolled down for 15 kilometres without any engine, following which two employees, who didn't follow the engine shunting procedure, two engine drivers and three carriage-repairing staffer were suspended.General Manager of East Coast Railway Shri Umesh Singh called for immediate corrective action and stringent exemplary action in this case.Chief Safety Officer of East Coast Railway Shri S. "All passengers are safe and no one was hurt when the coaches moved towards Kesinga (under Sambalpur railway division) after the engine was detached to be attached at the other end of the train," an East Coast Railway spokesperson here said. According to railway sources, the coaches started moving around 10 pm and had covered a distance of 10 kms without the engine before they were brought to a halt. Two men from Uttar Pradesh died in a fire at a plastic footwear factory in Narela industrial area today, police said.
