'Indiana Jones 5' will not release in July 2020
The fifth film in the "Indiana Jones" franchise has been delayed and will not be ready in time for its scheduled release date of July 10, 2020. Steven Spielberg is on board to direct the yet-untitled film, with veteran actor Harrison Ford returning as the bullwhip-wielding adventurer. According to Variety, Jonathan Kasdan has reportedly been tapped to work on the script. Kasdan's father, Lawrence Kasdan, wrote the original "Raiders of the Lost Ark", and the father-son duo most recently teamed up for Solo: "A Star Wars Story". "Indiana Jones 5" has already been pushed back once: It was previously scheduled to hit theaters in 2019.

MNS workers thrash Pune theatre manager over high food prices
A Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) worker on Friday admitted to attacking a Pune movie theatre manager while protesting against high prices of food items in the theatre."Popcorn worth Rs 5 is being sold at Rs 250. Bombay High Court has already said a reduction in price is needed. We told the manager to read news reports but he said doesn't know how to read Marathi. Then we dealt with him MNS style," said Kishor Shinde, an MNS worker, to ANI.A video has surfaced wherein the MNS workers could be seen hitting the manager and calling his names at the theatre on Thursday.MNS workers are known for their involvement in such incidents.On Wednesday, the Bombay High Court had asked the state to impose regulations on the extremely high prices of food items at multiplexes and movie theatres.

Benicio Del Toro was 'skeptical' about doing 'Sicario: Day of the Soldado'
Oscar-winner Benecio Del Toro has revealed that he was initially "skeptical" about doing "Sicario: Day of the Soldado". The 51-year-old actor said he, however, changed his mind after reading the film's script, penned by Taylor Sheridan. "When we got the word they were planning to do a sequel, I was skeptical," Del Toro told Variety. "When I got Taylor's script, it was original, unpredictable and truthful. As I was reading it there were a lot of 'oh s**t' moments. The character evolves and this journey brings humanity back to the character. I thought that was an interesting way to make a character change. And it seemed believable. It's also a throwback to the movies I grew up liking," he added. "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" is the sequel to Denis Villeneuve's 2015 thriller "Sicario". The new film, directed by Stefano Sollima, also stars Josh Brolin, Jeffrey Donovan Isabela Moner, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Catherine Keener.
Fatih Akin to helm 'Firestarter' adaptation
German director Fatih Akin will direct the film adaptation of Stephen King's sci-fi thriller "Firestarter" for Universal Pictures. The novel, released in 1980, follows a young girl who develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon. The film will be produced by Jason Blum and Akiva Goldsman with Martha de Laurentiis as executive producer. King's novel was previously adapted into a film in 1984 and featured Drew Barrymore, Heather Locklear and Martin Sheen in pivotal roles. Akin, 44, most recently directed Diane Kruger-starrer "In the Fade", which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film.

Rebecca Ferguson joins the cast of 'The Shining' sequel
The 'Girl on the Train' actress Rebecca Ferguson will feature in Warner Bros.' adaptation of Stephen King novel 'Doctor Sleep'.In the sequel to the horror classic 'The Shining', actor Ewan McGregor will portray the adult version of Danny Torrance, confirmed Variety.Ferguson's role in the movie is, however, not revealed yet.Mike Flanagan, who has previously directed the adaptation of King's novella "Gerald's Game' for Netflix, will direct the sequel of 'The Shining.'The movie will be a sequel to Stanley Kubrick directed 1980 movie 'The Shining'.

The fifth Indiana Jones movie, which was slated to release on July 10, 2020, has been delayed.Jonathan Kasdan, the son of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' scripter Lawrence Kasdan, will be the new writer for Steven Spielberg directed next Indiana Jones project, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.The change in the writer of the movie and the prior commitments of the Academy Award-winning director has led to the delay.The flick was announced by Disney in Lucasfilm in March 2016.Harrison Ford starrer fifth installment of Indiana Jones was supposed to release in July 2019, after which it was pushed further to July 2020.Disney is yet to announce the new release date for the movie.

YouTube's latest experiment of auto-generating video thumbnails did not go well with creators who took to social media to express their ire.Under the experiment, 0.3 percent of the viewers will be shown auto-generated thumbnails, instead of the custom images YouTubers so thoughtfully create to stand out, Cnet reported.The company clarified that it is conducting the experiment to gain insights.However, YouTubers are upset that the company did not care to give a heads up before pulling off such a huge experiment which potentially impacts over 5 million viewers.

Starting this week, you will be able to add soundtrack to your Stories on Instagram.While recording Stories with background sound was possible earlier, the new addition allows you to choose a track before or after recording the video, Engadget reported.All you need to do is tap on a photo or video and a music icon will show up. Tap on it further to select from the library to search and add a track.
