Nature comes to life on textile in art show

The infinite character of mother nature were brought to life on textile by two city-based artists showcasing their works in a recent exhibition. "Ahirnis: An Exhibition of Landscapes and Textile Art" that brought to the fore facets of nature that otherwise go unnoticed, featured works by Harmandeep Keerti and Shraddha Bansal. "'Ahirnis' captured my attention as a curator, for it lent a unique opportunity for me to juxtapose not just contrasting styles and media, but also sensibilities of the two artists," curator Aakshat Sinha said. While Keerti's landscapes captured the mood, ambience and flow of the moment of his plein air paintings, Bansal stitched together emotions of sublime pleasure with trees, birds and compositions inviting viewers into a sense of peaceful bliss. In an interview with Teen Vogue magazine, the 28-year-old pop star revealed that she has been struggling with anxiety from a young age and consults therapist to cope with the stress of her "crazy" lifestyle. Sriram Raghavan's next a biopic

Filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is all set to direct a biopic on the life of Arun Khetarpal, second lieutenant of the Indian army and a posthumous recipient of the Pram Vir Chakra. Tentatively titled "Arun", the biopic will be produced under Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films. Arun attained martyrdom at 21 during the Indo Pakistan war of 1971. While Raghavan will be directing the film, writer Ritesh Shah of "Pink" fame will be penning the script. "When I heard the story of Arun Khetarapal, I was inspired. He is the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. What he did and the kind of life he lived was absolutely exemplary and unbelievable...," Dinesh said in a statement. "We are doing our homework. Aronofsky says his Batman films would have been 'grittier' than Nolan's trilogy

Filmmaker Darren Aronofsky says if he had been given the opportunity to do a series of Batman movies, they would have been "grittier" than Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy. Aronofsky was in talks to direct a Batman movie - titled "Batman: Year One", but things did not materialise and the project was scrapped, leading to Nolan taking creative control over the Caped Crusader. "I think Nolan's version is exactly what the studio wanted. I think I was much more of a gritty feel is what we were going for," Aronofsky told The Playlist. The "Black Swan" director did not give any details in regards to what he would have done with Bruce Wayne, if he had helmed the films for Warner Bros.
