Ewan McGregor to star in Stephen King's novel adaption
Scottish actor Ewan McGregor will star in Warner Bros.' adaptation of the Stephen King novel 'Doctor Sleep'.The flick will be the sequel of 1977 horror classic 'The Shining.'McGregor will play the role of the grown-up version of Nicholson's son, who had psychic powers in the original movie, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.The story focuses on an angry alcoholic man, dealing with his re-emerging psychic powers by working in a hospice, where he helps dying patients and earns the nickname 'Doctor Sleep.' 9th Mountain Echoes Lit Fest to celebrate 50 yrs of India- Bhutan ties

'Nai Kahani' was not started as a movement: Mohan Rakesh
The 'Nai Kahani' idea was not started as a movement but it became a sort of a symbol for the efforts of those associated with it to alienate the short story from what it was after Munshi Premchand, according to one of its pioneers Mohan Rakesh. Rakesh (1925-1972) was one of the brains behind the Nai Kahani (New Short Story) literary movement of Hindi literature in the 1950s, the others being Kamaleshwar and Rajendra Yadav. The works of Rakesh are now published in a book titled "Another Life: Thirteen stories and a play". Edited by Carlo Cappola and published by HarperCollins India, the book is a compilation with a selection of Rakesh's fiction (authorised by the author himself), his play "Adhe Adhure", and two rare first-person statements which have been among the most sought after critical resources on his work - i.e. the "Self-Portrait" and a long, in-depth interview with him. David Spade donates USD 100,000 to charity after Kate Spade's death
Actor David Spade has made a donation of USD 100,00 to raise awareness about mental health after the death of his sister-in-law and celebrated designer Kate Spade. Kate, one of the biggest names in American fashion, was found dead in her Park Avenue apartment from an apparent suicide on June 5. The "Grown Ups" actor donated the amount to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), an organisation which helps people in dealing with their mental health problems. "More people suffer from mental health issues than we may realise but no one should ever feel ashamed to reach out for support," David said, according to People Magazine. "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown has reportedly quit social media after various memes surfaced online depicting her as a homophobe. A number of memes featured the 14-year-old actor's selfies and photos with homophobic statements and slurs. When accessed, the official Twitter account of the actor currently shows the message "Sorry, that page doesn't exist". Brown has often used her platform to spread awareness about gun control, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). She has not yet issued a statement regarding her exit from the microblogging site but multiple outlets claim the memes as the reason for her departure.
