The filmmakers will have more opportunities to shoot their films in the picturesque locales of Uttarakhand post the completion of the all-weather roads project, which will ensure better connectivity, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said here today. Rawat made the remarks at a meeting with the makers of Bollywood's upcoming Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer "Batti Gul Meter Chalu", which has been shot in Uttarakhand's Tehri city. The film's director Narayan Singh and producer Nitin Chandrachud met Rawat and thanked him for the cooperation extended during the shooting. The chief minister said that the completion of the all-weather roads project will provide access to the state's less explored scenic areas, which will translate into more opportunities for filmmakers to shoot in Uttarakhand. James Corden vows to become vegetarian
Popular TV host James Corden has vowed to become a vegetarian after he learned about animal welfare. Corden, 39, who is best known for hosting "The Late Late Show", said he made the decision after reading a story about abuse of elephants. "At Christmas, I read a story about the mistreatment of elephants and realised I was upset about animal welfare while eating a bacon sandwich," Corden told Radio Times Magazine. "I thought, 'Well, you really can't be upset about elephants and not think about the pigs. I hope I can keep it up. I will certainly try," he added. The "Ocean's 8" star hopes to become a full vegatarian as he plans to give up fish next but said that it will be a gradual process.

Rapper Kanye West has said the soundtrack that featured in the Ryan Reynolds-starrer "Deadpool 2" was similar to his own songs. The 41-year-old singer took to Twitter to proclaim his love for the anti-hero film series which features Reynolds in the titular role and also offered to provide music for the next part. Netflix has announced that late celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain's show "Parts Unknown" will remain on its US platform for the "months to come". The show was originally scheduled to disappear from the platform on June 16, less than a week after Bourdain's death. However, fans have been petitioning the streaming giant to keep the series on the platform. Taking their petition into consideration, Netflix US tweeted, "Some fans have noticed that 'Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown' was scheduled to come off Netflix US on June 16. As of today, we've extended our agreement that will keep Parts Unknown on the service for months to come." Bourdain, 61, died of suicide last week while he was in France filming an episode of his Emmy-winning CNN food and travel programme.
