Police today said cases have been registered against 'Puthiya Thalaimurai' channel and its reporter, who had booked a private college for holding the debate, MLA U Thaniyarasu and film director Ameer. The channel and its reporter have been charged under IPC sections 153(A) (promoting enmity between different groups), 505 (A) (statements conducing to public mischief) and section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Property Prevention of Damage and Loss Act, they said.
