A band launched for mental disability awareness
Filmmaker Karan Johar has introduced a band comprising of differently abled members to create awareness about the issue.The band, 6-Pack Band 2.0, is the second segment of India's 1st transgender band, the Brooke Bond Red Label 6 Pack Band, which exploded on to the scene in 2016, winning millions of hearts across the globe.The band had special collaborations with Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, among others, that became huge talking points.Its second edition focuses on the important theme of Mental Health & Disability. 'Raazi': A song dedicated to father-daughter bond!
The makers of 'Raazi' have released a new song dedicated to the loving bond of father-daughter.Titled 'Dilbaro', the almost 2-minute track features the marriage of Alia's character to her onscreen husband, Vicky Kaushal. It further explores the love shared by the father-daughter duo as Alia breaks down while her 'vidai'.Coincidentally, the song also features Alia's real mother, Soni Razdan. The song is penned by Gulzar and composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy.The 'Highway' star portrays the character of Sehmat - a Kashmiri girl who gets married to a Pakistani army officer, essayed by Kaushal.Helmed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the spy-romantic flick is based on 'Calling Sehmat', a best-selling book by Harinder Sikka.The film is set to hit the theatres on May 11.
Delhi HC grants bail to Ilyasi to take care of ailing wife
The Delhi High Court today granted interim bail for a month to former TV anchor and producer Suhaib Ilyasi, serving life term for killing his wife 18 years ago, to take care of his ailing second spouse. A bench of Justices S Muralidhar and I S Mehta granted the relief to Ilyasi subject to his furnishing a bond of Rs 20,000 and a surety of the like amount. The former TV anchor was taken into custody on December 16 last year after his conviction. The trial court had on December 20, 2017, sentenced Ilyasi to life term for stabbing his wife Anju to death, saying he "committed murder and gave it a colour of suicide". It had also imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on him and directed that Rs 10 lakh be paid as compensation to Anju's parents. The expense would be borne by him. Anju was rushed to a hospital on January 11, 2000 with stab wounds she received at her East Delhi residence. Ilyasi, who had shot into limelight for hosting the TV crime show 'India's Most Wanted', was arrested on March 28, ..

Michel Hazanavicius to helm 'The Lost Prince'
Oscar-winning director Michel Hazanavicius is reuniting with his frequent collaborator and wife star Berenice Bejo for a new family comedy film "The Lost Prince". The film will also feature "Intouchables" star Omar Sy and Franois Damiens, reported Dealine. 'Talvar 2' to take Talwar verdict further!
The second film in the 'Talvar' franchise, 'Talvar 2', has been announced to take the story of Talwar's verdict further.The first film, starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Neeraj Kabi in the main lead, was based on the story of the 2008 Noida double murder case of a 13-year-old girl Aarushi Talwar, and 45-year-old Hemraj Banjade, a live-in domestic worker, employed by her family in Noida, India.The two were killed on the night of May 15-16, 2008 at Aarushi's home under suspicious circumstances.
