Margot Robbie to produce new Shakespearean drama series

"I, Tonya" star Margot Robbie will produce a new ten-episode female-focused Shakespeare series. The 27-year-old actor will produce the series through her LuckyChap Entertainment along with the Australian Broadcasting Company, Hoodlum and ABC Studios International, reported Deadline. The project will be led by a female creative team and produce 10 standalone episodes. Fox Searchlight to make biopic of choreographer Alvin Ailey

Fox Searchlight is developing a biopic on the life of legendary choreographer Alvin Ailey. Ailey was best known for founding the interracial Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York in 1958 and helped popularise modern dance. His "Revelations" became one of the most-performed modern dance pieces in history. The studio is working with dance theatre's artistic directors Robert Battle and Emerita Judith Jamison and in cooperation with the Ailey Organisation for the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "We are thrilled to be working with these incredible partners to bring to the screen the amazing journey and revolutionary choreography of Alvin Ailey, whose life and legacy profoundly impacted people of all backgrounds around the world," Battle said. Anton Yelchin's family settles lawsuit against automaker

"Star Trek" star Anton Yelchin's parents have settled their wrongful death lawsuit with the Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The 27-year-old actor was killed in a freak car accident in June 2016, when he was pinned between a brick pillar and his vehicle, Jeep Grand Cherokee, after it rolled backwards down the steep driveway of his home in the San Fernando Valley, California. Victor and Irina Yelchin have sued executives at the car company, alleging the gear selector in the actor's Jeep Grand Cherokee was defective. reported Variety. Joel Edgerton to star in Netflix drama 'The King'

Actor Joel Edgerton has joined the cast of Netflix's "The King". The "Red Sparrow" star was already on board the project as he co-penned the script with David Michod, who is also directing the film, reported Variety. This is third collaboration between Edgerton and Michod, who had earlier worked together on the films, "Animal Kingdom" (2010) and "The Rover" (2014). "Call Me By Your Name" star Timothee Chalamet is also aboard the project, playing the role of King Henry V of England. The film is a modern Shakespearean adaptation and follows a young, disgraced prince who inherits the crown and must learn what it means to be a king, guided by his one true friend, Falstaff (Edgerton).
