My movies will be cut like a thriller: Sujoy Ghosh

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh gave Bollywood one of the best mystery thrillers of recent times in "Kahaani" and such is the love for this genre that the director says any movie he makes will be cut like a thriller. There were reports that his next directorial venture will be a dark thriller revolving around the story of a young salesman but Sujoy said it was not true. "My any movie will be cut like a thriller. If I don't make it that way, you will get bored, yawn and leave the hall. Even if I am making the world's most romantic movie I will cut it like a thriller," Sujoy told PTI. The 2012 superhit film "Kahaani", featuring Vidya Balan in the lead as a pregnant lady, had its sequel titled "Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh" in 2016, which performed moderately at the box office. "We do think now and then about doing the third part in 'Kahaani' franchise but we have to get the right script. We would love to take the franchise ahead but there should be an apt story," he added.

Elisabeth R Finch, in a guest column for the Hollywood Reporter, said she was overseeing the production on the first day of an episode she had written, when she saw an actor was missing. She said when she brought this to the notice of the director of the episode, he used an expletive to describe her and stroked and pinched her cheek. Finch said she continued to endure inappropriate and unwanted touching from the director throughout the shoot. She also saw him making "lewd jokes about actresses' bodies" but she never complained or spoke out against the behaviour during the shooting. She, however, ran into showrunner Julie Plec on the final day and admitted that the director was not nice. Plec shouted at her for not speaking up about the director earlier. "She tells me I was wrong. Wrong to assume that my job is to just suck it up and pretend it's fine. Wrong not to tell ...

The 28-year-old actor says the idea behind recreating "Ek Do Teen" was to pay tribute to a legend like Madhuri. "Nobody can match up
