The 75th birthday of filmmaker Karan Johar's mother Hiroo turned to be a memorable affair as Karan Johar and Kajol, who had a fallout in 2016, happily posed for pictures together. At Hiroo Johar's 75th birthday party yesterday, Johar uploaded a picture on Instagram with Kajol standing next to him and captioned it, "#friendslikefamily" with heart emojis. In the picture, also seen were writer Niranjan Iyenger, Kareena Kapoor Khan and designer Manish Malhotra, who then uploaded the picture captioned "The girls we love." This is the first time Johar and Kajol made a public appearance together ever since the "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" directed wrote in his autobiography that his nearly 25-year-long friendship with Kajol had ended during the release of his and Ajay' Devgn's films -- "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Shivaay", respectively. Karan Johar was teased for his voice as a child
Director Karan Johar may have successfully branched out as a TV and awards show host but he was teased at school for his feminine sounding voice and even took classes to improve his baritone. The director says, in retrospect, he would not change how he sounded as a child. "When I was a child, there were many 'Hichki' moments. The one that I wouldn't have changed today, is that I had a very girlish voice when I was a child. I had a very squeaky voice and I used to get teased a lot," Johar told Rani Mukerji. Superstar Salman Khan today shared his character poster from his much-awaited film "Race 3". The actor, whose character is named Sikander in the film, took to Twitter to reveal his first look. "Is hafte milata hoon Race3 ki family se... Mera naam hai Sikander (I will meet my Race 3 family this week... My name is Sikander). Selfless over selfish," Salman tweeted. The film directed by director-choreographer Remo D'Souza will hit theatres on Eid in June. It also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Anil Kapoor and Saqib Saleem The previous two installments of the action-thriller franchise had Saif Ali Khan as the main lead but for the third part the makers roped in Salman, 52. Remo D'Souza has taken over the project from director duo Abbas-Mustan.

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has decided to reschedule his upcoming project featuring Irrfan Khan, considering the actor's health issues. Calling Irrfan, who is suffering from neuroendocrine tumour, a warrior the director said the team will wait for the actor to return from abroad, where he has gone for treatment. "Irrfan is a warrior and we know he will conquer this battle. Therefore Deepika Padukone, Prernaa (producer) and I have decided to reschedule our film and start with renewed energy and celebration when our warrior returns as a winner," Bhardwaj tweeted. The director-actor duo have previously worked together in "Maqbool", "7 Khoon Maaf" and "Haider", while Deepika and Irrfan have earlier collaborated on "Piku". The yet to titled project will be produced by KriArj Entertainment and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures. The film was earlier scheduled to go on floors in February end.

India to make its presence felt in Hong Kong Art Basel fair
India is slowly expanding its base at the annual Hong Kong Art Basel fair, with nine galleries taking part in the gala show this year. Fair director Adeline Ooi said she hoped to see in the next editions more representation from India, which showcased the works of six galleries in 2017 and four in 2016. I am very greedy. I want more Indian galleries because one of the roles of this show is to highlight the diversities in Asia," Ooi told PTI. The fair, to begin on March 26, will feature 247 leading galleries from 32 countries, including 28 first-time exhibitors. This year's edition, the sixth so far, would not just have an increased focus on art from Asia, but also on art created across generations. Actor Cory Michael Smith, best known for his work as Edward Nygma/The Riddler on the Fox series "Gotham", has come out as gay. The 31-year-old actor opened up about his sexuality while promoting his new movie, "1985", which follows the story of a gay man returning home after his partner dies of AIDS. "There's something special about telling a story that feels closer to home. I'm not exactly like The Riddler in real life. I'm from Middle America... I'm from Ohio. I've been living here (in New York) for a while, and there are stretches when I don't see my family often. "Going home and that whole charade is very familiar. The first family dinner after a while.
