Property issue: Fadnavis says will speak to Dilip Kumar, Banu
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Monday he will speak to legendary actor Dilip Kumar and his family to allay their fears over a property issue involving a city-based builder. Saira Banu, veteran actress and Kumar's wife, had Sunday sought a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will in Mumbai Tuesday, to discuss the issue following the release of the builder, Samir Bhojwani, from jail. Bhojwani had falsely claimed ownership of the two plots on which Kumar's bungalow has been built. The 96-year- old actor's bungalow is located in the upscale Pali Hill area of suburban Bandra. Banu's request for a meeting with PM was shared on Kumar's official Twitter account. 'Bohemian Rhapsody' becomes highest-grossing biopic of all time
"Bohemian Rhapsody", which tells the story of British rock band Queen and its frontman Freddie Mercury, has become the highest-grossing biopic of all time. The film became a champion at the box office by earning USD 608 million globally and USD 175 million domestically since its November 2 release, reported Entertainment Weekly. While Malek was praised for his portrayal of Mercury, the film had mixed reviews from the critics who felt that it did not do complete justice with Mercury's life. "Bohemian Rhapsody" also had a turbulent production to screen transition as director Brian Singer was fired just before the shooting completed though he retained the credit. The film's success, in part, has also made the song 'Bohemian Rhapsody' the most-streamed track of the twentieth century.

Serendipity Arts Festival: Addressing issues of the hour with theatre

Would the Kauravas have won had Duryodhan's arrogance not blinded him when he sought help from Krishna? These are some of the many questions that the Mahabharata, a play being staged at the ongoing Serendipity Arts Festival (SAF) here, raises as it explores the possibilities of averting the apocalyptic war. Directed by Anurupa Roy, the play uses puppets, masks and shadow puppets to look at the Mahabharata as a dynamic narrative which has evolved over several thousand years, prompting Arundhati Nag to make the production part of her curatorial line-up in the festival. Nag, who has co-curated the theatre segment at SAF this year, said the epic was the only story that has got everything and continued to be relevant in contemporary times.
