'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel' showrunners on creating the perfect-imperfect New York heroine
The central conflict in season two of "The Marvelous Mrs Maisel" maybe internal but its energy and quirkiness mirrors its star Rachel Brosnahan's outlook, which is about marching through life on a "really high note", says creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Warner Bros in talks for 'Aquaman' sequel
"Aquaman" is yet to hit the screens, but Warner Bros studios are already planning a sequel of the film. The DC movie, led by Jason Momoa, has received rave reviews and is expected to do good business at the ticket window. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is looking at earning a whopping USD 65 million in its domestic debut and surpass "Mary Poppins Returns" and Transformers spin-off "Bumblebee" collections. The impressive numbers gave Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman Toby Emmerich enough confidence to begin talks on a sequel. As per the publication, no writer has been commissioned for the follow-up yet. Directed by James Wan, the movie release in India precedes by a week as it hist US theatres on December 21. The next season of "Doctor Who" will not start until 2020, showrunner Chris Chibnall has confirmed. Led by Jodie Whittaker's first female Time Lord, Series 11 ended Sunday and she will return for a glimpse on New Year's Day special, BBC reported. PVR inks pact with Cinionic for fitting Barco projection systems at 150 screens
Multiplex operator PVR Cinemas Monday inked a long-term alliance with Cinionic, a JV between Barco, Appotronics and CFG, for fitting Barco projection systems at 150 screens within 12 to 18 months. "Elevating the cinematic experience in India, 150 screens at both new and existing PVR properties will be outfitted with Barco's 2K, 4K and flagship laser projection within 12 to 18 months," PVR said in a statement. The announcement was made at the CineAsia trade show being held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from December 10 to 13, 2018. "Our industry is facing stiffer competition, so we need to offer unique entertainment experiences that are larger than life. The Barco cinema projectors deliver the excellent performance and high brightness necessary to power these top-notch movie showings at a very attractive total cost of ownership (TCO)," PVR Cinemas CEO Gautam Dutta said. PVR currently operates cinema circuit comprising of over 740 screens at 159 properties in 63 cities.

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor Monday quashed reports claiming that he is suffering from stomach cancer. The 37-year-old actor took to Twitter to give a health updated to his followers. "Guys I'm totally fine please don't believe random stuff," Shahid tweeted. Reports stating that Shahid was suffering from stomach cancer started doing the rounds on the web last week. On the work front, the actor was last seen in the "Batti Gul Meter Chalu". The film, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor, did not perform well at the box-office. Shahid is currently busy shooting for the Hindi remake of "Arjun Reddy", titled "Kabir Singh". The film is being helmed by Sandeep Vanga, who also directed the original 2017 Telugu blockbuster.
