Snoop Dogg thanks himself at his Walk of Fame star ceremony

Musician Snoop Dogg is the latest celebrity to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The 47-year-old rapper received the 2651st star, located on Hollywood Boulevard in front of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". Kimmel presented the plaque to Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, alongside Quincy Jones and Dr Dre. The felicitation comes days before the 25th anniversary of his debut album "Doggystyle." During the ceremony, which was aired live, Dogg said, "I want to thank me for believing in me. I want to thank me for doing all this hard work....Snoop Dogg you a bad m***rf****r." The musician has sold more than 37 million albums worldwide since his 1993 debut. Actor Ezra Miller has revealed that the "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" cast was not consulted when Johnny Depp was roped in for the film. Depp's casting as the villain, Gellert Grindelwald, in the franchise had led to a huge uproar as he was accused of domestic violence by his ex-wife Amber Heard, an allegation the actor has denied. In an interview with Playboy, Miller, who plays the role of Credence Barebones in the franchise, was asked whether they were aware that Depp has been cast in the series. Actor Melissa McCarthy will be felicitated with the Spotlight Award during the Palm Springs International Film Festival. The 48-year-old actor will receive the award from Richard E Grant in recognition of her acclaimed portrayal of the troubled author Lee Israel in Marielle Heller's dramedy "Can You Ever Forgive Me?". "Melissa McCarthy delivers a heartbreaking performance as author Lee Israel, perfectly portraying Israel's loneliness as she struggles with her own relevance in society," festival chairman Harold Matzner said Monday in a statement. 2 held for filming bathing woman

The police arrested two persons including a minor boy on charges of shooting obscene videos of a married woman in Jajpur district and circulating them on social media platforms. The 16-year-old boy, the woman's brother-in-law, and his 20-year-old friend were arrested for allegedly filming the woman with a mobile phone when she was bathing in the bathroom of her house in Balipadia village, police said on Monday. The two, who were arrested on Sunday night after a complaint was lodged, shot the video from a small window of the bathroom. The mobile phone used in the shooting was seized. The victim's family members came to know about it after some of their friends informed them that several videos of the woman has been posted on social media, police said.

Man held for threatening Salman Khan, says wanted break in

A 27-year-old 'aspiring actor' has been arrested from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly threatening Bollywood superstar Salman Khan by calling up his PA after she refused to share the contact number of the actor, the police said Monday. The accused Shahrukh Gulabnabi alias Shera told the police that he was looking for a break in Bollywood and wanted Salman to be his "godfather" in the film industry, a police officer said. According to police, Shera contacted Salman's personal assistant over phone on October 6 and demanded the personal number of the actor. "When she refused to share the number, he started abusing the actor and threatened to kill him," the officer said. He said Shera then called up Salman's father Salim Khan on November 13 and sought the actor's number while claiming that he was working for gangster Chhota Shakeel.
