The disparity between films in the mainstream genre and those meant for screenings in the festival circuit is coming down, feels director Shoojit Sircar. To a question, Sircar told reporters at the just-concluded 24th Kolkata International Film Festival that there was inconsistency between films meant for the two genres, but it is reducing as the song and dance routine in Bollywood films is now a "thing of the past". "I think going by my recent experiences, the disparity (between the two genres) has come down to a great extent. You consider films like 'Masaan' (2015) or 'The Lunchbox' (2013). In a series of tweets, she said the Tamil Nadu Dubbing Artiste's Union has informed her that she has been removed for non-payment of membership fee for past two years. "So given to understand that I have been terminated from the dubbing union. Which means I can no longer dub in Tamil films henceforth. Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has been discharged from hospital after a week-long stay and is recuperating at home. Last week, the iconic musician was rushed to the hospital after his performance with Billy Joel at New York's Madison Square Garden. The 68-year-old rocker "was released from the hospital and is home and doing well," his representative Marcee Rondan told USA Today. Perry had experienced "shortness of breath" and collapsed after returning to his dressing room post the gig. She made the revelation Saturday via Instagram on which she shared a picture of her with good friend and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who paid her a visit post the diagnosis. "Just met my precious friend who wished me luck and to get well from my just diagnosed stage 3 cancer," Ali, 61, captioned the photograph. Born in West Bengal, Nafisa made her acting debut in 1979 with Shashi Kapoor's "Junoon". Her other acting credits include "Major Saab", "Life In a Metro", "Yamla Pagla Deewana" and "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3". Ali is currently a member of the Congress party. Veteran music composer John Williams has scored the new original theme for Disney's upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme park land. According to Billboard, Disney released a teaser of the music, titled "Theme from Star Wars Galaxy's Edge" on Saturday. The footage features The London Symphony Orchestra recording the theme in a studio as well as some of the park's attractions under construction. Galaxy's Edge is slated to throw its gates open in the summer of 2019 at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. The 14th edition of international children's theatre festival, 'JashneBachpan', was inaugurated here Saturday evening with folk dance performances from Assam, Rajasthan, Punjab, Manipur among other states. The "Little Drummer Girl" star, who was asked to shed the pounds when she first tried to find work in Hollywood, said she finds the movie industry ''scary'' because of the ways ''lines can get crossed''. ''It would be virtually impossible to find someone who hasn't been asked to (lose weight). Part of what's so scary is that in this industry you are expected to play dress up and so many lines can get crossed if you're in the wrong hands," Pugh said.
