Singer Shweta Pandit Wednesday accused music composer Anu Malik of harassment when she was a minor. Writer-director Vinta Nanda, who has accused actor Alok Nath of raping her, submitted a complaint against the actor at a police station here on Wednesday. Police said they were yet to register an FIR in the case. In a social media post last week, Nanda had alleged that the actor had raped her 19 years ago. Nath had refuted the allegations and also filed a civil defamation suit against Nanda. A senior police official said Nanda submitted her complaint against Nath at Oshiwara police station. "She gave a written application and our inquiry is on," he added. Meanwhile, Nanda in a statement said the police were "very cooperative" and a woman police sub-inspector recorded her statement. "It was not easy for me to give my statement as it is like reliving your pain," Nanda said. Veteran Indian actor Anupam Kher, who plays a doctor in a medical drama on NBC, says the show gave him an opportunity to reinvent himself and working on the American show is a different horizon for him as an actor. Writer-producer Vinta Nanda on Wednesday lodged a complaint with police against actor Alok Nath, who allegedly raped and sexually harassed her in the 90s.This comes just days after Nath filed a civil defamation suit against Nanda.Speaking to ANI outside the Oshiwara police station, Vinta said, "I have lodged a complaint, which has been accepted by the police. The officials have been really helpful and the process went easy and smooth."However, she said that it wasn't easy to recount the whole event which took place almost two decades ago.In the ongoing #MeToo movement, Vinta had accused Alok Nath of rape and narrated her horrifying ordeal in a Facebook post.
