Honda reports 49% increase in domestic sales at 11,177 units in August

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Wednesday reported a 49 per cent increase in domestic sales at 11,177 units in August as compared with the same month last year. The company had sold 7,509 units in the domestic market in August 2020, HCIL said in a statement. Exports stood at 2,262 units last month as compared with 450 units in August 2020, it added. "Positive sales momentum and overall strong demand helped us to achieve good volumes with the onset of the festive season. The celebratory fervour which began with Onam in Southern India will extend to the rest of the markets as we move towards the peak of festivities," HCIL Senior Vice President and Director (Marketing & Sales) Rajesh Goel said. The company's best-seller model -- Amaze, which has been launched in its latest avatar last month, drove commendable sales volume with 6,591 units and reinforced its position as the most preferred family sedan in India, he added. Honda Cars ties up with Canara Bank to offer finance options to customers

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Monday said it has joined hands with Canara Bank to offer retail finance schemes to customers. The partnership facilitates HCIL customers to avail easy financing options and hassle free car loans from Canara Bank for purchase of models like Amaze, City, Jazz and WR-V, the company said in a statement. Honda Cars posts 28% rise in domestic sales in April over March

Honda Cars India on Saturday reported a 28 per cent increase in its domestic sales to 9,072 units last month as compared to 7,103 units in March this year. The company said it has exported 970 units in April. "The current health calamity has struck the entire nation and at this time nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our countrymen. Of course, it has had an impact on the business and deliveries in the marketplace," Honda Cars India Senior Vice President and Director (Marketing & Sales) Rajesh Goel said in a statement. Many parts of the country have been on safety-related lockdowns in the last couple of weeks and the industry may see this continuing in May as well, he noted. "We are working closely with all our stakeholders and assisting in every possible way to tide through this situation," Goel noted.

Honda Cars reports 28% increase in sales at 9,324 units in February

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Monday reported a 28.3 increase in domestic sales at 9,324 units in February as compared with the same month last year. The company had sold 7,269 units in the domestic market in February last year, HCIL said in a statement. Exports for the period under review stood at 987 units as against 64 units in the year-ago period, it added. "The market demand continues to be good which is reflected in our positive growth in February sales," HCIL Senior Vice-President and Director Marketing & Sales Rajesh Goel said. However, the shortage of semiconductor related parts impacted the company on the supply front last month, which limited its production volume and dispatches for certain models, it added.
