Square Yards Apr-Dec revenue up 46% to Rs 938 cr on better housing demand

Proptech firm Square Yards, which is into housing and home loan brokerage, on Tuesday said its revenue rose 46 per cent to Rs 938.4 crore in the first nine months of 2024-25 fiscal year amid strong demand for residential properties. Revenue stood at Rs 644.1 crore in the year-ago period. Square Yards has businesses mainly in India and Dubai. The company's India revenue rose 50 per cent to Rs 759.6 crore during April-December period of 2024-25 from Rs 506.7 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a statement. Consolidated gross profit rose to Rs 167.7 crore during the period under review from Rs 94 crore in the year-ago period. "This would mark our 2nd consecutive year of profitability, and first year of operating cash flow break even. We expect to close at USD 170mn+ revenue for this fiscal," Tanuj Shori, Founder & CEO of Square Yards, said.

Housing sales drop 9% in 9 major cities to 471k units in 2024: PropEquity

Housing sales across nine major cities dropped 9 per cent to nearly 4.71 lakh units in 2024 on lower demand as well as fall in fresh supply, according to PropEquity. Data analytics firm PropEquity, part of listed entity P E Analytics, on Wednesday released the housing data for nine major cities namely Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Thane. As per the data, the sales of residential properties declined 9 per cent to 4,70,899 units during 2024 from 5,14,820 units in the preceding year. New supply fell 15 per cent to 4,11,022 units in 2024 on the back of two quarters of under-activity due to general elections and monsoon. Samir Jasuja, CEO & Founder, PropEquity said, "The drop in housing supply and sales in 2024 is due to the high base effect, as 2023 was a peak year." "A detailed analysis of the numbers reveals that despite the drop, the supply to absorption ratio in 2024 remains the same as 2023 which indicates that the fundamentals .

At 30%, Delhi-NCR sees highest increase in housing prices in 2024

Housing sales declined 26 per cent to 1,06,038 units across eight major cities during the December quarter on lower demand mainly due to high prices, according to PropTiger. Sales stood at 1,43,482 units in the year-ago period. Real estate consultant PropTiger, however, said that sales of residential properties in 2024 rose 6 per cent to 4,36,992 units from 410,791 in the year-ago period across eight major cities --Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR (Gurugram, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad), Mumbai Metropolitan Region (Mumbai, Navi Mumbai & Thane) and Pune. Ashiana Housing sales bookings jump over 2.5 times to Rs 454 crore in Q3

Realty firm Ashiana Housing has reported over 2.5-fold jump in its sales bookings to Rs 454.31 crore in the quarter ended December on strong demand for its residential properties. The company's sales bookings stood at Rs 173.88 crore in the year-ago period. During April-December period of this fiscal, Ashiana Housing sales bookings increased to Rs 1,362.17 crore from Rs 935.68 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding year, according to the latest regulatory filing. India's seven major primary housing markets are estimated to see sales of 3.05 lakh apartments worth Rs 5.10 lakh crore during the current calendar year, according to JLL India. Housing sales declined 5 per cent in the July-September quarter across the top eight cities due to a fall in new supply and sharp appreciation in prices, according to PropTiger.
