Amy Schumer is pregnant!

American comedian-actor Amy Schumer has announced her pregnancy in a rather unusual way.The 37-year-old, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Chris Fischer, made the announcement on her Instagram account. She did so with an image of her and Fischer's faces photoshopped onto the bodies of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who announced last week that they are expecting.In the caption, she mentioned the profile of a journalist, who had posted a list of Schumer's 20 recommendations for candidates for the upcoming US midterm elections. The list ended with the words: "I'm pregnant - Amy Schumer".The happy news comes eight months after Schumer and Fischer tied the knot during a surprise ceremony in Malibu.

Why people stay in unhappy relationships

People continue to stay in unsatisfying romantic relationships because they believe that leaving would be bad for their partners, a study suggests. Published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the study explored the possibility that people deciding whether to end a relationship consider not only their own desires but also how much they think their partner wants and needs the relationship to continue. "The more dependent people believed their partner was on the relationship, the less likely they were to initiate a breakup," said Samantha Joel, who was an assistant professor at the University of Utah in the US at the time of the research. Previous research shows the amount of time, resources and emotion invested in a relationship can be factors in deciding to end a romantic relationship. Roman Reigns relinquishes Universal C'ship after revealing leukemia

American professional wrestler Roman Reigns has relinquished his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universal Championship title after revealing that he is battling with Leukemia.Making the announcement, the 33-year-old said that he has been living with the disease for 11 years and the return of the same has forced him to take a leave of absence from WWE."I've been living with leukemia for 11 years, and unfortunately it's back...I'm going to have to relinquish the Universal Championship," WWE quoted Reigns, as saying.Reigns, however, clarified that the hiatus should not be considered as his retirement, adding that he would be back after beating Leukemia."This is by no means a retirement speech. Memorial to be dedicated to homecoming parade crash victims

Officials in Stillwater plan to dedicate a memorial to those killed and hurt in a homecoming parade crash at Oklahoma State University three years ago. Dedication of the Stillwater Strong Memorial is planned Friday to honor the four lives lost and 50 people injured on Oct. 24, 2015. The memorial features a six-foot tall, handcrafted alloy ribbon in orange and blue on a concrete base with four granite tiles describing the lives of the four victims lost. A fifth granite tile on a separate pedestal describes the memorial and the purpose behind the Stillwater Strong effort. Killed were 23-year-old Nikita Nakal from India; 2-year-old Nash Lucas; and married couple Bonnie and Marvin Stone, both 65. Adacia Chambers pleaded no contest in the case and received multiple life sentences last year.

Gangster Neeraj Bawana's cousin shot at her residence, injured

A 34-year-old woman, a cousin of gangster Neeraj Bawana, was injured after being shot at her residence in Bawana area on Monday, police officials said. The incident comes almost a fortnight after her live-in partner was killed and she had escaped with a bullet injury. The woman, Jyoti, was in a live-in relationship with one Amit, who was killed on October 6 by some unidentified assailants, the officials said. Jyoti was also injured in that attack and a bullet had pierced through Amit's chest and hit her in the waist, they said. On Monday, two men on a motorcycle stopped outside her home and asked her 16-year-old son whether she was present at her residence, they said. While one of them stayed outside, the other man entered the house and shot at her. Jyoti was shot in her cheek in the presence of her 12-year-old daughter, the officials said. Mumbai: Over 18,400 people died between 2013-18 in train

A Right to Information plea has found that 18,423 people died and 18,847 people were injured in suburban train-related mishaps between January 2013 to August 2018. Replying to the RTI query filed by activist Shakeel Ahmad, the Mumbai railway police commissionerate said that these casualties occurred due to passengers falling from trains, dashing against poles, crossing railway tracks or travelling on the roof of trains. Providing a break-up, the RTI reply stated that 3,506 people died in 2013, 3,423 in 2014, 3,304 in 2015, 3,202 in 2016, 3,014 2017 and 1,974 in the first 8 months of the current year. Speaking on the declining figures, Ravinder Bhakar, chief PRO of Western Railway said, "We have taken several measures to curb deaths by constructing FOBs, fencing, conducting aerial survey of accident prone areas and counselling passengers." A viral video showing a man racially abusing an elderly passenger on a Ryanair flight has prompted widespread outrage and an investigation by British police. The video -- now viewed on Facebook more than four million times -- appears to show a white man in an altercation with a black woman over seating arrangements in their row. British physicist Stephen Hawking's motorised wheelchair, medals and awards, and a signed copy of his PhD thesis are among a range of items set to go under the hammer in the UK. The motorised BEC Mobility wheelchair, used by the late cosmologist from the late-1980s to the mid-1990s, is alone expected to fetch 15,000 pounds. Hawking relied upon a series of wheelchairs from the end of the 1960s until his death in March this year, according to the Christie's auction house in the UK. Newly leaked surveillance footage from the killing of Jamal Khashoggi appears to show a man walking around in the writer's clothes in Istanbul after his killing. CNN aired the footage on Monday, citing a Turkish official as describing the man as a "body double" and a member of a 15-man Saudi team sent to Istanbul to target the writer. 2 cops among 4 killed as car hits tractor in Telangana

Four people, including two police constables died and four others were injured in an accident involving a car and a tractor trolley near here, police said Monday.
